Chiu-Ti Jansen Biography
Chiu-Ti Jansen is a TV presenter, a publisher and a writer based in New York City with a pulse on China.
She has hosted featured video presentations on the New York Fashion Week and CFDA Awards for China’s SINA FASHION and PHOENIX FASHION, interviewing designers and super models such as Vera Wang, Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Liu Wen, Shu Pei, Phillip Lim and Zang Toi. She is the host of a video presentation on the inaugural Phoenix Fashion Awards, which aired through Fashion TV in more than 100 countries. In January 2013 she was the only guest from overseas invited to walk the red carpet at the SINA’s Annual WEIBO Gala in Beijing.
Chiu-Ti founded CHINA HAPPENINGS™, a multimedia platform, to focus on the lifestyle and cultural industries of contemporary China. She writes a blog titled CHINESE ELEMENTS for international house Sotheby’s and a column titled NEW YORK IN STYLE for Financial Times’ Chinese Edition. She wrote a column titled CHINA HAPPENINGS for the NYO Magazine. She has also written on Chinese luxury lifestyle and cultural scenes for English publications such as Sotheby’s at Auction magazine and Whitewall Magazine.
A native speaker and writer of Mandarin Chinese, she regularly contributed to the China Times, the United Daily and The Artist’s Magazine on a wide array of cultural and art-related issues.

Educated at National Taiwan University with advanced degrees from Yale and Columbia, Chiu-Ti is currently an International Honorary Ambassador of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, a member of the Contemporary Art Advisory Committee of China Institute in America, a Board Member of the Couture Council of Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and a life member of the Elizabethan Club (for Renaissance Studies) of Yale University. SINOVISION's "W.E. Talk" recently featured Chiu-Ti in a full-length, dedicated interview that is currently on its multiple reruns. She has appeared as a fashion expert on China’s top-rated fashion/beauty show I Am a Great Beauty and has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Women’s Wear Daily, World Journal, Jing Daily, SINOVISION, China Press, and Sing Tao Daily, among others. In April 2013 she received the Trailblazer Award for Outstanding Asian Entrepreneur from USPAACC NE.
In June 2014, DAILY FASHION REPORT, a subscription-based online fashion magazine dedicated to high-end fashion, named Chiu-Ti to its “New” Best-Dressed List for 2014.
